Here is a list my team & I put together, that are some of my favorite holiday events to attend with my family. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and can enjoy some of these fun local events.

Christmas Tree Farm 

An authentic tree farm adventure at Little Bear farm in Alta. You can pick out and cut your own tree after you ride their vintage jeeps up the hill. You can also sip hot chocolate, feed the fish and breathe in fresh mountain air.

Cornish Christmas 

Held along the street of Downtown Grass Valley - Fridays Dec3, 10, & the 17th from 5-8pm. Stores have extended holiday hours, there are carolers, musicians, a fire pit, Santa, Mrs. Claus, Snow Queen, the Tree Lady, and other Holiday characters. The event also hosts craft and food vendors, festive holiday décor, lights and sparkling windows. Dec 3 at 7pm there will be tree lighting ceremony on Mill Street. Holiday Lights

The Union newspaper has put together a map of homes that traditionally have a good holiday lights display. Check it out below.

Classic Christmas

Dec 8th and 15th, 5-9pm. Enjoy music, hayrides, local eateries, and a visit from Santa. Check it out below.

Victorian Christmas

Takes place along the streets of downtown Nevada City. There are holiday activities for all ages including entertainment and strolling carolers, yuletide treats, street vendors, and Father Christmas. This event is held Sundays - Dec 5, 12, & 19th from 1:30 - 6pm and Wednesdays - Dec 8 & 15 from 5 - 9pm. Check out the link here!
Victorian Christmas

Auburn Festival of Lights Parade

Will be held on Saturday, December 4th at 5:30 PM. The parade includes festive floats, paired with vibrant music, brilliant lights displays, and colorful costumes! The parade route runs from Cherry Avenue and Lincoln Way and ends at the Upper Parking Lot at the Fairgrounds.

Rocklin Christmas Lights on Pebble Creek Drive

Vistors trek from miles around to see this very fun and family-oriented Christmas light extravaganza that includes hundreds of handcrafted characters from your favorite shows, both old and new. You can drive around to see them or park and get out and walk the loop.
