7 UP Biscuits

These 7 Up Biscuits are super fluffy! Perfect for family dinners, Thanksgiving, and Christmas!

7 Up Biscuits

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Servings: 15

 



Ingredients: 

2 1/2 cup flour

2 Tbsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 Tbsp sugar

1/2 cup shortening

3/4 cup sour cream

3/4 cup 7UP

1/3 cup butter, melted in pan



 

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

  • Melt the butter and pour into a 9x13-inch pan.

  • In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and shortening until crumbly. 

  • Mix in 7 Up, sour cream. Careful not to over mix.

  • Sprinkle your counter and dough with flour, and pat the dough with your hands until thickness is about 1 inch thick. Dough will be wet.

  • Flour your biscuit cutter, and cut biscuits, repeating in the flour as necessary.

  • Carefully bring the dough back together and pat it out until you've used all the dough.

  • Place the biscuits in the buttered pan and bake for 12-15 minutes.

  • Remove from the oven to cool and enjoy!
