10. Truckee River Rafting, Tahoe City

We do this almost every summer. We choose to bring our own rafts and bikes but you could also reserve in advance to float with one of the local rafting companies. This activity works for all ages as it is really more of a float than a rafting adventure. We prefer to avoid holidays and weekends as the crowds can get a bit wild. There is a bike path along the river and extends up into Tahoe City both directions and down to Squaw Valley. If you want more info on the logistics of this activity please reach out to us and we will share. While there we also always eat at The Bridgetender Restaurant in Tahoe City along the river.

In addition to these, of course there are lots of trails to hike in Auburn, Nevada City and Tahoe.  Also, Lake of the Pines has great parks and beaches.  If you don't live in LOP, give me a call and you can be my guest, 530-277-3489.

Take care,
